Day 1 Begin your ‘Scenic
South Africa’ Tour
On arrival at Cape Town, which is also called the ‘Mother City’
our local representative will welcome you and take you to your hotel.
Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight at Ritz Hotel or similar
in Cape Town.
Day 2 City tour of Cape Town
After a buffet breakfast, enjoy a panoramic city tour of Cape Town with
its majestic Table Mountain backdrop. See the Houses of Parliament and
the “Tuinhuis” (President’s office), Company Gardens,
‘St. George’s’ Cathedral and the Malay Quarter. View
Cape Town’s world famous Table Mountain, you can visit the same
at a nominal price (weather permitting). There’s time off to explore
the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, one of Cape Town’s biggest tourist
attractions. Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight at Ritz Hotel
or similar in Cape Town.
Day 3 Visit the Cape of Good Hope
After a breakfast, the day is free to explore Cape Town on your own. Or
take an Optional tour to Cape of Good Hope. Visit the fishing harbour
of Hout Bay for a short trip to Seal Island. We drive via the Atlantic
Coast to Cape Point. Marvel at the view of the southern-most tip of South
Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Visit the Jackass Penguins
and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. On your return to Cape Town, enjoy
dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight at Ritz Hotel or similar in
Cape Town.
Day 4 Oudtshoorn – the Feather Capital
Onto Wilderness
After a breakfast, sit back in your coach and enjoy a scenic drive along
the world famous ‘Garden Route’ to Oudtshoorn. We visit the
first six chambers of Cango Caves. The stalactite and stalagmite formations
are an incredible sight. Later, we proceed to Cango Wildlife Ranch where
you can discover a variety of animals seldom seen. Venture into Crocodile
enclosures, visit Snake Park and Cheetahland. Photograph yourself cuddling
a Cheetah by paying a nominal fee. At the Ostrich Farm, you have an opportunity
to ride this magnificent bird. We continue our scenic drive through Kaaimans
River and Goukama Nature Reserve and arrive at Wilderness Beach Hotel
& Spa, set against majestic mountains and overlooking beautiful beaches
& the Indian Ocean. Enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Wilderness
Beach Hotel & Spa or similar in Wilderness.
Day 5 Drive to Knysna Cruise on Knysna
Lagoon
After breakfast, spend time exploring the Wilderness on your own. Explore
this 2500 hectare National Park with five rivers, five lakes, two estuaries,
18 km of coastline and a variety of wildlife particularly birds. Wilderness
has many craftsmen and their work is often for sale. In the afternoon
we drive to Knysna. In the perfect setting of the evening sun, we take
you on a John Benn Cruise on the tranquil Knysna Lagoon. Enjoy dinner
at the hotel. Overnight at Wilderness Beach Hotel & Spa or similar
in Wilderness.
Day 6 Fly to Johannesburg Lesedi
Cultural Village
After a buffet breakfast, we drive to Georgetown airport for our flight
to Johannesburg. Our local representative will meet you at the airport
and take you to Lesedi Cultural Village. At the village you are treated
to a vibrant traditional African welcome. Visit the Ndebele village and
African craft market, where Ndebele murals decorate the walls and courtyard.
See a multi-visual theatre presentation on the history and origin of the
people. Take a guided tour of four homesteads - Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho and
Pedi. The experience ends with a traditional dance culminating in community
dancing around the fire. Enjoy an African style dinner at the Village
Restaurant. Overnight at Protea Hotel, Lesedi Cultural Village.
Day 7 Onto Sun City –
the Fun City
After a buffet breakfast, we drive to Sun City - the Fun City, vibrant
by day and magically beautiful at night. It is a complete leisure resort
with magnificent hotels, dazzling shows, nightlife and a fabulous casino.
The evening is free to relax. Visit the casino or soak in the splendour
of this splendid resort city. Enjoy dinner at Calabash restaurant. Overnight
at Cabanas Hotel or similar in Sun City.
Day 8 Explore Sun City –
The Lost City
After a buffet breakfast, the day is free to explore the vast complex
of Sun City on your own. You will be amazed at this oasis in the desert,
with a man-made sea, complete with waves and beaches. Enjoy wind surfing
or go swimming at the Valley of the Waves or relax at the Water World.
Take a walk over the Bridge of Time into the Entertainment Centre where
fantasies really come true. Enjoy dinner at the restaurant. Overnight
at Cabanas Hotel or similar in Sun City.
Day 9 Onto Johannesburg Visit Gold
Reef City
After breakfast, we drive back to Johannesburg. On route, we take you
on a tour of Gold Reef City. Visit this re-constructed town of 19th century
Johannesburg. See the underground workings of a gold mine. Watch molten
gold being poured. Visit the Gold Reef City Theme park, which has more
than thirty adrenaline-boosting rides like the Giant Wheel, Anaconda and
Tower of Terror. Try your luck at the Gold Reef Casino. Enjoy dinner at
an Indian restaurant. Overnight at Rosebank Hotel or similar in Johannesburg.
Day 10 Return home with wonderful
memories
After breakfast, we drive to the airport for your flight back
home. Its time to say goodbye to the new friends you have made.
